I am a documentary photographer living in Ann Arbor, Michigan interested in exploring the ethereal nature of urban neighborhoods, dwellings and the inhabitants who live there.
"I am fascinated by neighborhood "voices" expressed through public artwork, fashion, music and political expression. A few years ago, I began photographing graffiti in abandoned buildings in Detroit.
I've since expanded on this theme by capturing public art and ordinary people going about their daily lives, some of whom live in extreme poverty and culturally challenging conditions.
I have had the opportunity to travel to Europe, North Africa and Southeast Asia and have attempted to a document the impact of culture, religion, politics and economics in the cities and towns I have been privileged to visit. My professional career includes more than 15 years in sales and marketing management. Today, I combine documentary photography and video with marketing and branding strategies to provide established and start-up businesses with an engaging, relevant and personal way to communicate through visual storytelling their internal culture and compete more effectively in the marketplace.
